However, on the back of its online expansion coupled with product diversification, the company expects the sales to be back on track by the next financial year.
“There is a need to connect with consumers and we are planning to have regular digital activation programmes. The company has launched a ‘vegan line of footwear’ for consumers who are conscious about sustainability and environment,” Rochita Dey, director at Sreeleathers added.
Sreeleathers currently has 42 retail outlets spread across 10 states. The company also exports to European markets and plans to enter international markets like Myanmar, Thailand, and Dubai.
