Turtle opens menswear store in West Bengal’s Berhampore

Menswear brand Turtle has added to its brick-and-mortar retail presence in West Bengal and opened an exclusive brand outlet in Berhampore. The new store is located at the city’s Khagra Bazar on Manindra Road and retails the brand’s full range of smart casual wear.

“Exciting news from Behrampore, West Bengal,” wrote Turtle Limited’s director Shitanshu Jhunjhunwalla in a Linkedin post. “We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of our brand-new flagship store and it’s and it’s about to make history in the city! Visit our store and explore brand new style every day.”

The new store houses an array of shirts, smart trousers, and blazers, among other garments. While most of Turtle’s collection is western wear, it also offers fusion styles such as high-neck waistcoats.

Turtle recently launched its festive collection which features a range of botanical inspired printed shirts, the brand announced on Facebook. The collection focuses on neutral hues and includes garments which can be dressed up or down, according to the brand.

Turtle was founded in 1993 and it began garment production in 1994, India Retailing reported. The business opened its first ever exclusive brand outlet in Kolkata in the year 2000 and moved to a new, 7,500 square foot office in the city in 2005.

Since 2006, Turtle has brought its garments to life at its design studio in Milan, Italy, according to the brand’s Facebook page. Turtle launched its new autumn/ winter collection “live from Milan” and focuses on Italian style for its aesthetics and promotions.
