Phonepe-backed Pincode, a shopping app developed on the government-backed marketplace, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Tuesday said it has gone live in 10 cities across India.
The cities include Mumbai, Delhi, Nodia, Gurgaon, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune and Kolkata.
The app was launched in Bengaluru in April where it has delivered over one lakh orders.
“The initial response and rapid consumer adoption of Pincode has given us the confidence to expand our services,” said Lalit Singh, general manager, Pincode. “In the coming months, we have ambitious plans for expansion into more cities.”
Consumers in these cities will now be able to purchase groceries and order food from their local shops and restaurants on Pincode.
Local brands like Society Stores in Mumbai, Khan Chacha in Delhi, Ajfan Dates and Nuts in Chennai and Paradise Biryani in Hyderabad are currently present on Pincode.
The app also provides discounts, refunds and returns. It is working towards expanding into additional categories such as pharma, fashion and electronics.
