McDonald introduces India’s first color-blind-friendly food delivery app

McDonald’s India introduces India’s first color-blind-friendly food delivery app, a thoughtful update aligned with WorldSightDay. The ad, told from the perspective of a color-blind photographer, beautifully captures daily challenges. The app’s three color enhancement options cater to different types of color blindness, fostering inclusivity. A timely, empathetic, and innovative move in the realm of food delivery apps!

Now users can access the newly updated feature by updating the McDeliveryApp and website. The feature offers three colour enhancement options – ‘Green-Red’, ‘Red-Green’, and ‘Blue-Yellow’, enabling colour-blind individuals to view the menu in colours suitable for their vision. This feature allows them to perceive the actual colours of the food and drinks, aiding them in making informed decisions about their orders. The fast food chain initiated the EatQual journey in 2020, aiming to improve accessibility and inclusivity for people with various disabilities.
